GoDefy Search Basics
GoDefy is a product directory and shopping comparison search engine. To find what you're looking for, either browse products by clicking on the product category links, or searching for products by entering a search term into the search box and hitting the "Enter" key on your keyboard, or click the "GoDefy Search" button. In response, GoDefy will search its database of products and return with a list of the most relevant products, ranked by shopper popularity.
Search Terms
Entering the right search terms is the key to finding the information you need. Start with the obvious. if you're looking for internet marketing products and services, try internet marketing. If you know the name of a product or service, try the name. If the name comes up, it will show the categories it's listed under, which will lead you to related items.
Case Sensitivity
GoDefy searches are NOT case sensitive. For example, searches for WebPosition Gold, webposition gold, and WEBPOSITION GOLD will all return the same search results.
Word Variations (Stemming)
GoDefy do NOT use stemming technology. Therefore, "AdWords" and AdWord" produces two different sets of results. Always try the search term you think is correct, and if it doesn't return what you're looking for, try the singular or plural, or vice versa.
Phrase Searches
Sometimes you'll only want results that include an exact phrase. In this case, simply put "quotation marks" around the search term. Phrase searches are best for searching proper names, such as a product or service title, author's name, or company name.
Negative Search Terms
If your search term has more than one meaning or returns too many results, you can refine your search by adding a minus sign "-" in front of words you want to avoid. For example:
internet marketing -software
This will return results for all internet marketing products, that does NOT have the term, software, anywhere in the listing (title, description, category, author's name, company, etc.).
Please note: When you add a minus sign to a search term, make sure you include a space before the minus sign.
"+" Search
GoDefy ignores one and two character words, and one and two digit numbers. If such a word or number is essential to getting the results you want, you can include it by putting a plus "+" sign in front of it. For example, here's how to ensure that GoDefy includes the "Ad" in a search for "Ad Words":
+Ad Words
Please note: When you add a plus sign to a search term, make sure you include a space before the plus sign.
