Activ E-Book Compiler creates unlimited, brandable, royalty-free ebooks, that can be given away to website visitors and newsletter subscribers, or sold to paying customers. Each ebook is a self-contained Windows program which can be distributed via online download, email, floppy disk, CD-ROMs, etc.

- Ebooks use the same "engine" as Internet Explorer, which means they are compatible with popular web browsers and support HTML, DHTML, images & animations, JPEG and PNG graphics, JavaScript, VBScript, and most Internet Explorer plug-ins
- Link to relevant web sites in your ebook
- Password protect your entire ebook, or selected pages, and allow your users to preview part of the book before they pay and get a password for access
- Allocate up to 1,000 different passwords per ebook to prevent password sharing
- Disable right-mouse click to protect the HTML source code
- Brand your ebook with your name, company name, copyright message, and link to your web site
- Unique "ESBN" serial numbers to keep track, and manage distribution, of your ebook
- Add a customized icon to your ebook from a choice of over 700 icons, or create your own
- Give users a shareware-style free trial of all or part of your ebook which expires after a set number of days or uses, unless a password is entered
- Customize the user interface by turning on or off toolbars, status bars, colors, text labels on buttons, etc.
- Add a splash screen and/or start-up message
- Ebooks include a built-in search engine
- Automatic installation options that add an icon to the desktop or Start menu
