Click here for more.LG Uplus, LG’s subsidiary, has partnered with Samsung to develop an advanced AI-focused smartphone.  According to The Korean Economic Daily (via Sammobile), this collaboration centers on combining LG Uplus’s AI-based voice assistant, ixi-O, with Samsung’s AI technologies.  The aim is to create a real AI phone that offers more than typical AI integrations.  A special AI phone from Samsung and LG that you can’t buy In 2021, LG exited the smartphone market after struggling with poor reviews and a lack of widespread consumer interest. Once a notable competitor in the industry, LG then shifted its focus to other ventures, such as display technology.  While LG’s return to the smartphone market seemed unlikely, these recent developments indicate the possibility of a unique LG phone collaboration with Samsung. The upcoming device, which could be called the Galaxy ixi-O, will likely debut as an exclusive offering for LG Uplus users.  The company introduced ixi-O earlier this month, which is a personal AI agent exclusive to Korea. The AI can answer calls, detect voice phishing in real time, record and summarize calls, and transcribing voice conversations into text—all processed directly on the device for improved security and efficiency.
