The social media platform announced on Friday that it will now ban ads that spout climate change denial and propaganda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That means blocking ads that are misleading and &#8220;contradict the scientific consensus on climate change.&#8221; That consensus is underscored by the recent\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.protocol.com\/climate\/ipcc-renewable-technology-wind-solar\" target=\"_blank\">Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report<\/a>, which Twitter said would help inform its policy.
