The company is even testing the payment method in select Panera Bread locations. Amazon One uses biometric technology to create a unique palm signature for each customer. This signature is linked to the customer’s credit card information, enabling a contactless and cashless payment experience. .stk-9cfce3d{height:22px !important} The technology is designed to offer a quick, reliable, and secure method of payment, which could prove particularly beneficial in the current climate, where contactless transactions are increasingly favored due to health and safety concerns. .stk-f040414{box-shadow:0 0 0 2px rgba(120,120,120,0.1) !important}.stk-f040414-container{background-color:#f3f3f3 !important}.stk-f040414-container:before{background-color:#f3f3f3 !important} .stk-fff85bd{margin-left:-20px !important}.stk-fff85bd .stk–svg-wrapper .stk–inner-svg svg:last-child{opacity:0.7 !important}.stk-fff85bd .stk–svg-wrapper .stk–inner-svg svg:last-child,.stk-fff85bd .stk–svg-wrapper .stk–inner-svg svg:last-child :is(g,path,rect,polygon,ellipse){fill:var(–stk-global-color-56583,#911d9c) !important} .stk-75422ff{margin-left:-17px !important}.stk-75422ff .stk-block-text__text{font-size:16px !important;font-weight:300 !important;font-style:normal !important;font-family:”Golos Text”,Sans-serif !important}@media screen and (max-width:1023px){.stk-75422ff .stk-block-text__text{font-size:16px !important}}“We are always looking for new ways to delight our customers and improve the shopping experience,” Leandro Balbinot, chief technology officer at Whole Foods Market, said in Amazon’s press release. “Since we’ve introduced Amazon One at Whole Foods Market stores over the past two years, we’ve seen that customers love the convenience it provides, and we’re excited to bring Amazon One to all of our customers across the U.S.” Amazon One is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to integrate advanced technology into everyday shopping, following on from initiatives like the cashier-less…Amazon’s Palm payment tech is coming to a Whole Foods near you
