Apple Watch Series 9 to feature improved heart rate sensor

We are only hours away from Apple’s “Wonderlust” event, where the Cupertino-based company is all set to announce the iPhone 15 series and the new Apple Watch models. Until now, the Apple Watch rumors have been pretty consistent, indicating we shouldn’t expect any major changes as those are reserved for the Apple Watch X, slated for next year.  However, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has come forward with a new set of details, indicating the Apple Watch Series 9 will feature an updated heart rate sensor and other minor hardware improvements.  On September 12, Apple is expected to launch two new Apple Watches: Watch Series 9 in the usual 41mm and 45mm sizes, and the Watch Ultra 2 retaining its 49mm size with no expected redesigns. Both Apple Watches will feature similar design signatures as their previous generation, as Apple is planning a design overhaul for 2024.  Based on the previous rumors, both the Apple Watch Series 9 and the Watch Ultra 2 will feature a new chip with faster processing power. It’s the first actual chip upgrade since the Apple Watch Series 6. The Apple Watch 8, Watch Ultra, and Watch SE 2 feature the same processor.  However, Gurman says the new chip isn’t the only hardware change this year.  Improved sensor for the Apple Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2  Image: KnowTechie According to Mark Gurman’s sources, all the Apple Watch models are expected to receive sensors and component upgrades, including the upgraded version of the heart rate sensors. …Apple Watch Series 9 to feature improved heart rate sensor
