Apple fans, mark your calendars. The successor to the M2 chip, the much-anticipated Apple Silicon M3 is expected to make its grand entrance later this fall. According to Blooomberg reporter Mark Gurman, shared this scoop in his recent Power On newsletter, The M3 will be unveiled in October 2023. This will coincide with a refresh of several Apple favorites including the iMac, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro. Interestingly, it seems that the iMac will be the first in line for this upgrade. Since its last update in 2021, the iMac received a new design and the M1 chip. It only makes sense for it to be prioritized, especially since Apple didn’t upgrade it during the 2022 M2 update.
