After skipping it a year, Samsung is reportedly ready to revitalize the Galaxy FE line in 2023. For the past few months, we received a steady stream of leaks, including renders of the Galaxy S23 FE smartphone and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series tablets. While we were absorbed with the Galaxy S23 FE’s FCC approval, a new leak appeared, revealing the devices will not appear at next week’s IFA conference but later this year. The company will focus on its Fan Edition (FE) devices alongside a few Internet of Things products in this launch. Galaxy S23 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE have seen considerable leaks in the past few months. We know they’ll look like the flagships, but have toned-down hardware. For example, the Galaxy S23 FE is expected to ship with last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in the US, while on other markets, the device will feature an older Exynos chipset. Similarly, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series would offer two variants with 11-inch and 12.4-inch display but won’t feature AMOLED screens.
