It looks like the regulatory agency has finally filed Google’s paperwork. The listing has revealed a few details. Google’s approval application consists of five devices with different model numbers: GKWS6, G9BQD, GZPF0, GPJ41, and G1MNW. Although we are looking at five model numbers here, Google plans to release only a Pixel 8 and a Pixel 8 Pro, as far as we know. So, the rest of the model numbers might be variants of the smartphones. 9to5Google points out that previously, Google has launched versions of the Pixel phone with or without mmWave 5G connectivity. That’s all the details the new FCC listing has provided. The Pixel 8 series will feature a few notable improvements over its predecessor. Those include an upgraded primary camera and the new Tensor G3 chip. There’s also a rumored thermometer sensor and a larger battery for the base model.
