OnePlus first teased its official customizable mechanical keFCyboard back in December 2022. The official announcement came a few months later, in February 2023, at the Cloud 11 event. It will be OnePlus’s first venture in the Mechanical Keyboard world, coming in with Keychron’s collaboration, named OnePlus Keyboard 81 Pro. That said, the arrival of this new mechanical keyboard is upon us; unfortunately, the Keyboard 81 Pro will only be available in select areas of the world. OnePlus Keyboard 81 Pro Pre-Orders are open Currently, OnePlus Keyboard 81 Pro is only available in the United States and Canada. The keyboard is open for pre-orders, and general availability begins on July 26. The OnePlus keyboard is aptly named “Keyboard 81” as it comes with 81 keys. There’s also a transparent dial at the upper right corner of the keyboard, providing it a distinct look. The Keyboard 81 Pro comes in two variants, and OnePlus ensured to induce its signature colorway into both. The color combination is Light Gray and Dark Gray with signature Red-colored “Esc” and “Enter” keys. However, the 81 Pro is just a glorified version of a Keychron keyboard, with a new coat of paint and per-key RGB lighting. So, don’t expect anything surprising, especially if you are a Keychron fan.
