Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy Watch 6 series only last month, with availability starting from August 11. It’s a brand-new Android smartwatch with state-of-the-art features. However, Samsung has already released another iteration of the smartwatch. It’s a limited edition Galaxy Watch 6 Classic variant. What’s new in the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic Astro Edition? Samsung’s new smartwatch is called the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic Astro Edition, and as the name suggests, it is inspired by space and astronomy. Image: Samsung/KnowTechie The new classic smartwatch is dedicated to explorers and innovators from the MENA (Middle East/North Africa), to celebrate their contributions to the sciences. So, at least for now, the new Galaxy Watch 6 Classic Astro Edition will be available in those regions. However, we suspect Samsung could start selling the watch all over the globe later. The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic Astro Edition has slight design tweaks. If you look closely, small astronomy symbols are etched on the rotating bezel. Samsung also says an astrolabe inspired the watch. For those who don’t know what an Astrolabe is, it’s an age-old astronomical instrument used as a star chart. The watch also has a new feature — a solar tracker that lets users track the movement of the sun and moon. Have any thoughts on this?
