To recap, the vendor has very little potential upside if a startup does well. Startups typically involve more work. Most startups are more argumentative than other companies. Startups present a high risk of not being paid. On top of all that, if the startup fails, it’s not a good portfolio piece. So why would a startup be given a discount?
