Apple Watch leather bands are rumored to be discontinued

Apple’s next event is only a week away, where the company is expected to unveil the Apple Watch Series 9 alongside the new iPhone 15 series.  There have been many leaks lately about Apple’s upcoming products, especially accessories for the iPhone and Apple Watch. A previous leak claimed the Cupertino company would replace its official iPhone leather cases with new cases made of a different premium material. According to Gurman, Apple is currently offering Hermes leather bands to its employees at a whopping 90% discount.  Usually, it’s an indication that a product is going away when Apple starts offering its products to employees at huge discounts. The company did the same before discontinuing the original HomePod.  Last week, 9to5Mac reported that multiple official Apple Watch leather bands, including the Modern Buckle and Hermès models, are sold out on Apple’s website. The same goes for the classic Link Bracelet, introduced with the original Apple Watch. While Gurman wasn’t sure if this change impacted the Hermès partnership, the fire sale clearly indicates that something is going on.
