According to a report published by Digitimes, Apple is “developing a low-cost MacBook series to compete with Chromebook models in the education sector.” This new cheaper MacBook should be released in 2024, assuming no significant delays. It’s possible that the cheaper MacBook range never makes it to production. But if it does, this would mark a new revenue stream for the company.
