Meta has released several big updates for WhatsApp in recent months. Now it seems the overall look is due for a refresh, as beta versions have a new UI. The recent updates brought long-awaited features to the messaging service. These include the addition of HD video support, HD photo support, and screen-sharing. Now the messaging app has features that rival video-calling platforms like Zoom or Google Meet. Throughout these changes, one thing has remained constant–WhatsApp’s design. The beta for Android devices tested a new UI, with a white top bar and a green WhatsApp logo. A second Android beta brought multi-account functionality to some testers. This makes it possible for more than one WhatsApp account to be used without cloning the app. Not to be left out, the betas for iOS users got other new UI changes. These included new buttons for the navigation bar, a filtering system for business and personal chats, and more UI elements in green instead of blue.
